Matthew Penner was born in 1974 in Vancouver. He makes paintings that free-wheel elements of 70s Sci-Fi comics and abstractionism. His painting work goes along with his 10 years as an interactive art director at Electronic Arts. Currently he is a partner in the footwear company Native Shoes and lives and works in Vancouver.
